This program offers transportation to and from non-urgent medical appointments and other essential services, as well as trips to local grocery stores, to older adults and adults with physical disabilities residing in Ottawa’s east end communities. By providing convenient rides and delivery options, it helps seniors maintain their independence and easily access fresh food.

Who Can Access This Service?

Service Areas

  • Medical Appointment and Essential Services: Services are provided to seniors and adults with a physical disability living in communities in East Ottawa, such as Beacon Hill, Blackburn Hamlet, Carlsbad Springs, Cumberland, Gloucester, Gloucester South, Orléans, Navan, Riverside South, Sarsfield, and Vars.
  • Grocery Bus: Services are available in Gloucester, Blackburn, Orléans/Cumberland, Gloucester South, Vars, and Carlsbad Springs.

Medical Appointment and Essential Services

The cost of the service is based on the distance driven, originating from your home and returning to your home.

  • 1-10 km — $13.00
  • 11-30km — $18.00
  • 31-50 km — $23.00
  • 51-70 km — $ 33.00
  • 71-90 km — $ 43.00
  • 91+ km — $ 0.68 per km

For rural postal codes (K4A, K4B, K4C, K0A):

  • 1-30 km — 12.10
  • 31 + km — $21.50

Grocery Bus:

The grocery bus service is offered at a flat rate, which covers the entire round trip for your convenience.

Cost: $11.00
