The Eastern Ottawa Resource Centre (EORC) partners with all four local school boards to deliver a variety of school-based workshops and group programs throughout the academic year.
Strengthening Youth Growth
These initiatives are designed to support the mental, emotional, and social well-being of students from grades 6 through 12, helping them build resilience and thrive in their school communities.

Eligibility Requirements
- Students in grades 6 to 12
- Programs are delivered in-school in collaboration with educators and school staff
All services are free and confidential.
Program Spotlight
Workshop Topics
Our workshops are interactive, age-appropriate, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each school community. Topics include:
- Anxiety and Stress Management
Helping students understand and manage anxiety through practical coping strategies. - Mental Health and Emotional Well-Being
Promoting self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthy habits. - Healthy Relationships
Exploring communication, boundaries, and respect in friendships and dating. - Bullying Prevention
Empowering students to recognize, respond to, and prevent bullying. - Self-Esteem and Identity
Building confidence and fostering a positive sense of self. - Anger Management
Teaching constructive ways to handle frustration and conflict.
Program Delivery
- Workshops are typically delivered during school hours
- Sessions can be adapted for individual classrooms, grade groups, or school-wide initiatives
- Facilitated by trained EORC staff with experience in youth engagement and mental health
