The Resource and Referral team is here to help you find the best services to meet your needs and help with advocacy. We can work with you to help open doors to resources that include food, housing, clothing, understanding social services, budgeting and more…
Whether it be helping you find immediate assistance planning for an upcoming change, or assistance with basic needs, our team is there to support you through your time of need.

Services available
Are you looking for some support?
The Resource & Referral team offers crisis intervention and short-term counselling to individuals facing a wide range of issues.
When appropriate, referrals are made to longer-term counselling services with partner agencies.
Are you completely out of food and looking for immediate help?
In partnership with the Ottawa Food Bank, clients can access a limited amount of non-perishable food. Available on a once a month basis.
Donations from the community are welcome.
Are you looking for healthy food options?
The Good Food Box brings neighbors together to buy quality fresh fruit and vegetables. $10, $15 and $20 boxes are available, depending on your needs.
Make sure to order before the deadline each month.
Baby Food Cupboard
Clients can access a limited amount of baby items, such as diapers, wipes and formula, on hand to assist families in need with these costly items. Available on a once a month basis.
Donations from the community are welcome.
Need some extra seasonal clothing?
Starting in September, referrals can be made to programs like the Snowsuit Fund, Dress for Success, Men in Styles, Salvation Army and more.
Do you need help paying electricity or natural gas arrears?
The Resource and Referral team makes referrals to the Low-Income Energy Assistance (LEAP) program.
The LEAP program helps people in need with their electricity and natural gas arrears.
Looking for ways to reduce your electricity bill?
The Resource and Referral team can assist people with their Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) applications. OESP is a monthly rebate to that will reduce your household electricity, by applying a monthly credit directly to your bill.
The credit amount will depend on how many people live in your home and your combined household income.
Settlement Services
Get referrals to Settlement Programs such as counselling for individuals, families, groups, immigration applications and for reviews.
Referrals to legal assistance for low-income people.
Get legal help/advice at the EORC on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month between 4pm-7pm, by calling to schedule your appt.
Partner Program
Referrals to Housing Support Programs devoted to assisting low-income individuals and families to find and maintain safe, affordable & adequate rental housing.
Looking for employment services?
Need help building your resume and cover letters, or maybe need practice for interview skills or with job search online?

Let us help you connect with various programs to help make that new place to live in a home!
Mental Health & Addictions
Referrals to counselling services for individuals, families and children/adolescents seeking help for addictions (incl. gambling), mental health issues, or concurrent disorders.
Holiday Support
Starting in October, referrals can be made to various Holiday programs such as Christmas Exchange, Toy Mountain and other sponsorship & hamper programs.
Back to School
Starting in June, referrals can be made to various Back to School Programs such as Sharing in Students Success (elementary) and Tools for School (high school).
