Supporting/ motivating children and youth to feel empowered and achieve their potential
The EORC works hard to ensure families with children are able to feel safe and secure at a vulnerable time in their life. Our range of support services help children receive much needed counselling and also give them the opportunity to meet and make friends.
Take a look below at some of the services we offer specifically to children. We also have a number of seasonal initiatives that you can find out more about by contacting the youth team or visiting our event calendar.

SERVICES AVAILABLE
Student Assistance
This program offers families who may require financial assistance with their students’ extra-curricular activities that are not subsidized by their school.
There is a one-time limit for families.
Please contact the child & youth counselor or intake department for more information.
Community Groups
A conflict resolution program and Young Women’s group are offered in the community to address the needs of our youth.
These programs are available at various times throughout the year, please contact the child & youth counsellor for upcoming dates.

Young Women On Wellness: Focuses on issues affecting young women such as dating, finances, body image and social media click here for more info.
School Groups
The EORC offers a variety of groups and workshops throughout the school year in all four school boards.
Groups and workshops are designed to meet the needs of the students. Groups can be offered based on gender or in co-ed environments from grades 6-12.
Themes for groups could include friendship, healthy relationships, bullying, self-esteem, body image and anger management.

Individual Counselling
This service is offered to children & youth aged 6-21yrs old.
Counselling sessions are tailored to the client’s individual needs; topics may include anger management, healthy relationships or self-esteem.
This is a short term service which is offered for the duration of 6-8 sessions
Please note that individual counseling and groups will be offered in both official languages
according to demand, both within Centre and at local schools.
